Last Thursday, nearby one of our live sites in Sloane Square, a gentleman fell over and was bleeding heavily and noticeably in pain. Craig Jones, long time site manager at PJ Harte witnessed the fall, rushed to get his 1st aid kit & quickly come to the man's assistance. Craig was able to help stop the bleeding and bandage the cuts which were later found to need several stitches.
The Gentleman, Mr Swinglehurst & his wife were ever so grateful and have praised Craig in the below letter.
"Dear Mr Jones,
In our family's eyes you are a star. I am John Swinglehurst's wife and you among others rushed to help him when he fell in Sloane Square this past Thursday.
We cannot thank you enough. Thank goodness, at your insistence he was taken to Westminster and Chelsea hospital where he received superb care; his forehead and hand required stitches and he has a broken rib.
We spend most of the time at the moment in France and he was due to fly back that evening after attending a funeral of a very close friend.
Needless to say, that wasn't possible but British Airways were so kind and changed his ticket without question. We always stay when in London at Sloane Square which is in Lower Sloane Street and they too, were so kind and helpful.
John is now safely back here in France, somewhat battered and bruised. A nurse came this morning to clean and change the bandages.
We just want to thank you for being so helpful to a total stranger.
With kind regards,
