We have recently completed a stunning face lift to this Grade 2 listed bank on Fleet street Central London.
Works to the building included a full clean and repair of the stone facade, repairs and redecoration of all windows and a full replacement including insulation of an original copper roof.
Pre contract information:
The building comprises a Grade II Listed 1890’s building, providing commercial and residential accommodation over lower ground, ground and 4 upper floors. The building is located within the Fleet Street Conservation Area. The front elevation walls to the property comprise Portland Stone facings, with a mixture of traditional brick and white glazed brickwork to the rear and flank elevations.
The purpose of this works is to repair, redecorate and clean the external elevations of the building. This will involve redecoration to all previously decorated surfaces (excluding two number historic tenant signs), doff steam cleaning to all facades, localised flat roofing repairs to copper and asphalt surfaces, making good to scaffold tie holes in the facades, unblocking drainage to a flooded rear light-well and other miscellaneous repairs.
All floors within the building will remain in full occupation during the course of the works. All access to the site will be via a scaffold erected on Fleet Street which should bridge over the building to provide access to the rear elevation
