About Project

40 Portland Place.

An extremely interesting and fulfilling project, the refurbishment of this Georgian Townhouse currently zoned for commercial purposes. Recently taken back from an FRI lease of 25 years, the clients Howard De Walden Estate required us to validate the entire mechanical & electrical system including data and air conditioning.

Following the validation of services and planned remedial works, our task was to refurbish exterior, which is the front elevation, scaffold up & over to the mews house at the rear. External works included a doff system clean, vast masonry & roofing repairs, lead gutter replacements, significant timber repairs and full redecoration.

Internally we were required to carry out vast repairs to the building fabric and, upgrade mains water supplies, install new lighting, upgrade the fire alarm, new floor coverings encompassing LVP, carpet tiles, herringbone timber flooring and whipped carpet runner, we completed the job with a full redecoration including decorative ceilings.

The contract period was 22 weeks and all works were completed on time and on budget.
